Terms and Conditions

  1. Waiting List and Commission Acceptance
    Like many artists, I usually maintain a waiting list for commissions. You will be added to this list and given an estimated completion date before your commission is formally accepted.

  2. Photographs, Portrait Sizes, and Quotes
    At the time of commission acceptance, I will request your photographs, discuss portrait sizes, and provide a quote. If your portrait is required for a specific date, please contact me well in advance.

  3. Draft and Approval
    As your drawing slot approaches, I will contact you to create a draft portrait for your approval. A 50% deposit will then be required, along with confirmation of the final price and completion date. Please ensure you are completely satisfied with your chosen photograph, as no changes can be made once work begins.

  4. Payment and Delivery
    The remaining 50% of the commission fee is due upon completion and prior to delivery. A low-resolution image of the finished portrait will be sent to you along with an invoice for the outstanding balance. Your portrait will be posted upon receipt of payment. Payments are requested via BACS, and postage and packing costs are additional.

  5. Copyright and Use
    I retain the copyright to all artwork I create and reserve the right to reproduce images for marketing purposes. Use of my artwork images is not permitted under any circumstances without my written permission. If you prefer that I do not share photographs of your artwork, please notify me before work begins.

  6. Artistic Interpretation
    I take great care to deliver a piece of artwork that closely matches the photograph supplied. However, each piece is a unique work of art created through my interpretation and skill, and will not be an exact replica of the photograph—some artistic licence should be expected.

  7. Satisfaction and Disputes
    In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your commission, I will make reasonable efforts to resolve the matter.

  8. Photograph Ownership
    By commissioning me, you confirm that the photographs supplied are yours to use or that you have permission from the photographer to use them.
